WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING…

One of the best things I did several years ago was to start Pilates classes with Vania. It quickly became a huge source of calm exercise, friendship and self-care. It is now engrained as part of me, and I would not give up the practice for love nor money. Online Pilates (due to Covid-19 lockdowns) is, of course, not quite the same. But, in such challenging and uncertain times, it is great to have the consistency, stay connected and punctuate the day with the classes and familiar faces. Thank you so much, Vania and Alicia!

Fantastic. I have a crook back, and have had massive improvement. Should have done it sooner. Thanks team.

Such a special place with one of the worlds most beautiful souls to teach us.

I was introduced by a mate with no understanding of what Pilates was about, I’ve been heading along weekly now for over a year and really enjoy the one hour sessions. Why? The classes are small and depending on the week there is a mix of stretching, working our core, posture, or muscle groups that are a little neglected in our various daily lives. Alicia sometimes pushes us and sometimes takes it easy, she ensures we are doing exercises correctly, is massively encouraging, fun and always checks in that we are enjoying the class and working on areas we want to. The sessions are relaxed, challenged, sometimes funny, intimate, peaceful and stretchy both for the body and personal comfort zone

Pregnant?

Our Mat Pilates classes are designed to be completely suited to an expectant mama, taking into consideration the unique physical needs a women has during this period of time. Because our classes are always kept small, we can accommodate your needs in most of our mat classes - but in particular, our FOUNDATION classes. Please get in touch.

Pilates is a fantastic form of exercise during pregnancy & the postnatal period. It is gentle and easily adapted to suit the changing needs a mama may experience through her pregnancy and after her baby is born. Every mama is different, and exercises and movements will be modified accordingly.

Pilates will help you build core strength, ensuring the deep abdominals, pelvic floor, buttocks and back are able to support the physical changes that come with pregnancy and child-birth.

I’ve been attending Studio Thirty Five classes for a few years now. Originally I started with my husband who had back issues and then my own Pilates journey has been more focused around prenatal and postnatal strength over the course of 2 pregnancies. I’ve found Pilates so useful for feeling strong during and after pregnancy and I’m really happy with the results and the way my body feels.

Vania has been great the whole way through my current pregnancy and tailors the exercises for me in a smooth and efficient way that doesn’t interfere with the flow of the class. I’m looking forward to starting my second Mama and Bubs Pilates class with Vania when the time arrives!

This is my second time doing Vania’s Postnatal Mums and Bubs class. There is something special about Vania and the classes have been essential for me to regain strength post birth. Not only is Vania an amazing Pilates instructor, she is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to babies as well and I can’t thank her enough!

Pilates FAQs

How many people come to your classes? Classes have a maximum of 8 people. Keeping our classes small allows us to better connect with you and to give you the attention you deserve. Postnatal mamas and bubs classes are even smaller - with only 5 to a class. And of course we encourage you to bring your baby with you to this one.

How long does a class run for? All classes run for 55 mins. We encourage you to arrive 5 mins early to get yourself settled in. If you are coming to a postnatal class, the studio will be open to you for 15mins prior to come and get settled with your baby. We always endeavor to start classes on time. However, particularly with the postnatal classes, we are sensitive to the needs of new mamas and their babies.

What about lockdown? We are still here for you! Classes are being run virtually while we can’t be together in person.

Do I need to bring anything with me to class? It's essential you bring your own socks to wear on the mats for hygiene reasons. Aside from that, make sure you are wearing comfy clothes you can easily move in. In winter it might be wise to layer up, though we do have heaters for your comfort. Feel free to bring your sense of humour too. We love a good laugh in class!

Can i buy a concession? You sure can! In fact that's how we work! We offer 5, 10 + 20 class concession packages at Studio Thirty Five. You pick the class and time that works for you and book in your spot in We can help you navigate the booking process. Generally we encourage clients to come to the same class each week, but if you know ahead of time you will be away, we can often find an alternative class for you as a one off.

What if i only want to come to a class here and there? You can totally do that too. Just use our online booking system to join in wherever spaces are available. We encourage you to come regularly though, as you will see the best benefits of Pilates classes by committing to regular practice.

Do you have a cancellation policy? Glad you asked! Yes, we do. Class cancellations are the responsibility of the person booking the class. They can be made vie the Acuity Scheduling App online. Cancellations can be made 12+ prior to class start time without losing that session. Cancellations made 12hours or less prior to class start time will forfeit that session. No-shows and absences will forfeit that session. We do not accept cancellations via social media.

What if my regular class is not happening for some reason? Feel free to book in an appointment on another day that suits you.

How do i make payment? All payment for classes is made via our app Acuity Scheduling at the time of booking your appointment. You just need a valid credit or debit card. Easy peasy.

How do I get there? Check out the map for our location. Once you are on Pioneer Road, and find number 35 on the right, drive past the main entrance approximately 50m to a second gravel driveway entrance. Drive on up and into the parking area.
